Do you need a tune-up?

                 If I continue to operate my vehicle and fail to perform regular maintenance, performance will eventually decline. Spark plugs, air filters, oil, and oil filters all prolong a vehicle’s life. Although we are not a car, we still need to spend time in God’s Word to refresh, to renew, and to grow. In this year's boys retreat, we want to focus on doing this.
                 Each year, we try to do several activities. This year, the plan is to focus on one thing. Pinewood Derby cars! You might be familiar with these if you have been to the Boy Scouts or an AWANA program. Each person is provided with a small wooden car kit. They then transform this kit into a race car that they can race against each other.. This year we will do this. This will take place over multiple sessions. We will paint and decorate the car, assemble the vehicles, and tune them up to make them as fast as possible. After lunch on Saturday, we will then race to see who made the fastest vehicle. Along with this, we will study God’s Word and the importance of developing our walk with Him.
